Success of our students in the International Gastronomy Competition held within the scope of the 31st Food Product International Food and Beverage Specialization Fair

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Tourism Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department students achieved great success in the cooking competition held within the scope of the "31st Food Product International Food and Beverage Specialty Fair" organized in Antalya between January 28-31, 2025.

 

The students, under the consultancy of Faculty of Tourism Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department lecturer Öğr. Gör. İlhan Avcu, made MAKÜ proud by winning a gold medal and a trophy with their outstanding performance in the competition. Among the faculty members contributing to the competition were Doç. Dr. Olcay Kilinç and Öğr. Gör. Önder Osman Oflas.

 

Among the students who achieved great success in individual categories, Mustafa Ertuğrul Uraz won a gold medal in the "JP7- Student Chef Fish Competition for University Level Schools" category, while Furkan Yılmaz won a gold medal in the "JP8- Student Chef Pasta Competition for University Level Schools" category. Additionally, the team consisting of Nesibe Halenur Al, Mustafa Ertuğrul Uraz, and Furkan Yılmaz was awarded a gold medal and a trophy in the "SPT2- Team of the Year Golden Competition" category.
